Consortium Nepal with the support of GSIF conducted consultations with youth and students political leaders on 11th February 2024. The objective of the event is to bring together a youth and students political parties to discuss about role of youth and student political leaders and best practices in past to educate, empower and promote the engagement of Girls in policy formulation. Additionally, consultation aim to achieve shared learning, identify gaps and promote girls participation through a collective campaign. Consultations program with youth and student political leader helps to prepare plan and policy paper in the basis of actual needs of girls. During the consultations participants engage on different areas of child rights provided their insightful inputs regarding to the girl education, empowerment and engagement. Participants engage in giving inputs in girl education, girl empowerment and girl engagement. In girl engagement and participation participants kept their views on situation, main challenges, Global structures and opportunities, what and how can the additional necessary basis and facilitation be done, Key tips/recommendations for inclusive and meaningful girl engagement/participation. Similarly, in the part of girl empowerment participants discussed on Situation, main problems, efforts and possibilities, who can play what role, main suggestions/recommendations for overall empowerment of girls. Further, they discussed about the Girl child education which includes situation, existing gaps, existing effort and structures, roles of responsibilities of concern stakeholder and Key suggestions/recommendations for promoting and ensuring education for all girls. Youth and Student Political leaders provided their valuable inputs regarding to the girls empowerment, education and engagement.
