On 10th of July 2023 Consortium Nepal organized the interaction program on achievements of 15th national plan and planning for 16th national plan in relation to children. During the program representatives from government, development partners, networks leaders, NGO’s as well as member of national child advocates council and child advisory board of Consortium-Nepal makes their valuable representation. Child rights activist Mr. Milan Dharel shared his presentation on Children in the 16th Plan: Civic Concerns and Suggestions which was more focused on relevant accountability for children’s concerns in national planning, prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepal and Children’s Concerns and new concerns and potential programs to be covered by the 16th Plan. Dr Kiran Rupakheti, Joint Secretary, National Planning Commission shared his presentation on achievements from 15th plan and priorities of 16th national plan in relation to children.
Member of National Planning Commission Hon. Dr Anita Shah Dhungana stated that planning commission will take all the recommendation seriously as well as those plans which are not achieved and cover in 15th plan, will definitely try to cover in 16th plan related to the children. At the end of the program member from Child Advisory Board and National Child Advocates Council handover the recommendation letter on 16th plan on behalf of children to the representatives of National Planning commission.
